Default Renault Megane Scenic with 'stalk'...what needed to have new car radio/CD?

I have a Renault Megane Scenic, R reg and it's got an 'inhouse' tape

player
and radio with a 'stalk' where I can operate the volume and radio channels
from the behind the steering wheel with my right hand.

It crackles a lot and I wondered it that would be fixed by having a new
CD/Radio.

Does every new CD/radio have wires at the back that will allow me to link

up
to the 'stalk' thingy?

Nope. From my experience none have things to connect up the stalks. You have
to buy special adaptors to get the use of the stalk. For example i have a
clio and if i want to put clarion headunit in there i can but clarion dont
make an adoiptor lead to use with the clio. However sony do have a lead. Its
a dash off job too with the clio. Check with renault and see what other
radios will fit in your car. For example a clio tape deck will cost you
about £10 on ebay or a cd player £70ish and these will fit in a meganne and
you'll have use of the stalks but i'm not familair with scenics
