Hi there,
does anyone know if the bass engine, and bass type, tone controls on
the CDM-9807RB affect the subwoofer out too? Reason is, I want to cut
the bass going to my dash speakers, while sending a full bass signal to
my subwoofer amp.

The sound controls will effect all audio outputs.

Check the manual for references to either "Crossover" or "Subwoofer level
control"

Idealy, you would want it to have a built in crossover to limit the
frequencies being sent to the front speakers.
