I thought the GTO75.4 was a 75 Watt speaker? Even with channels doubled
that's only what, 150 watt RMS? Unless that 180 Watt is peak power? I
dunno. Go to Halfords and see what sounds good. Personally, I like the
sound of my JBL speakers. Count yourself lucky that you can fit 6x9s. I
have to stick with 4x6's.
The Sony speakers are rated at 180W Peak while the JBL 75.4 Amp is
rated at 104W RMS per channel.
Someone else mentioned that the JBL 963e or Infinity Reference 96xx
Speakers where good and that I should have a listen. I suspect the
Infinity's are expensive though.
Is there much difference between the JBL 963e and Infinity reference
96xx's? Sorry if this is a daft question - I know about home cinema
stuff but not car audio.
Thanks

Hi all,
I have recently added my JBL GTO75.4 amp to by Sony MD Head unit. All
works fine but I'm finding my speakers arent really upto the job now.
Current speakers are 180W Sony 6x9's that came with the Head Unit.
Could someone please recommend some decent speakers that will handle
the power of the 75.4 and not break the bank whilst still sounding
good?! Is that a cake and eat it question???
Thanks
Jon
