Default 1995 Ford Mondeo Audio Problems.....

Hi All

I was wondering if anyone could help me with my problem, it's driving
me mad now!

I have a 1995 (M) Ford Mondeo 2.0, Auto Ghia.

The car is excellent apart from this one problem.....

It has an RDS2007 Ford radio/Cassette fitted, which I'm happy with, as
I only use it to listen to my ipod through and radio.

Recently, only the passenger side front speaker started working,
silence from the other three, except when I go over a bump occasionally
and they all spring to life then stop again.

To try and rectify this I undid all the multiplugs that connect the
doors, cleaned them, greased them and reconnected - no good.

Next, I borrowed another radio (standard off the shelf ISO connector
one), and bought an autoleads adapter to connect directly to the
speaker cable which I removed from the amp. Still - only the one
speaker works.

So, I can rule out the radio and the amp.

I checked that all the plugs are pushed in firmly behind the kick panel
in the drivers side footwell, and all seems okay.

Now, whilst looking behind the radio today, I found a plug that wasn't
connected, it's got 8 pins in it, the outer plug is black with a red
insert? But I can't find what this should be connected to (if anything
at all).

This really is driving me loony now, and I would really appreciate some
help on this matter.

Cheers

Alan
