Most any vinyl recorded before 1965 or so is likely "free of silicon".
Or geranium. Recording studios and master cutters used tubes before
then.
True. But then with the inherent distortion of vinyl it doesn't much
matter. And the 1/4" master will have removed all the transients anyway.
