I wanted a phono stage - I got one. (For LP to HDD at usable levels.)

I wanted a balance control - I got one. (For offset speaker positioning at
close range.)

I wanted to put my monitor on it - I have. (Tricky with the valve amp I had
before.... ;-)

I wanted it *now* (*then*, IYSWIM)....

I got more inputs than I would/will ever need.

It's gotta headphone socket.

It's got Loudness and Tone controls. (I don't use 'em but I like to have
them with SS kit....)

It don't run hot.

It's *instant* on and off.

It's brand new and doesn't smell or crackle....

It cost feck-all.

It's *sweeet*....

I love it.

It sounds very good (astounding actually) in this location wiv mi
MP3s/DVDs - as Phil North will attest after he's heard it Thursday evening.
(Or he mebbe won't - you reading this Phil....??)
