As we were lifting the boxes into my car he saw a MFSL copy of the
Beatles Magical Mystery Tour and said 'Ooh, I wouldn't mind keeping this
one to take home and play....??'
I said no, bugger off! (He doesn't even run a turntable :-)
When I got 'em home I counted them up - there's about 175 discs all told,
they were too bloody lazy to count them!! The MFSL Ziggy Stardust I gave
my son tonight and the aforementioned Beatles, he tells me, are together
*worth* a fair bit more than I paid for *all* the records..!! :-)
Keith. Re Magical mystery Tour.
If you have the stereo version with the gatefold sleeve,
and 24-page 4-colour booklet with the pics and lyrics,
it is quite valuable. A pristine pressing, in a sleeve without
dog-ears sells here for about Euro 125.
It's a brilliant, timeless LP.
OK, you got me going! I'm going to have to 'digitise' it for the car now!!
The copy in question (MFSL with blue banner) doesn't have a booklet, so I
checked to see if I already had this album and I do!!

And that one does have the booklet:

Mint, possibly *unplayed* and no dog-ears!
(I didn't even know I already had the record, which is just as well or I
would probably have let him take it - tempting to *lend* him a CDR copy and
call his bluff....!!! :-)
