Strange innit? Here in England we are quite happy to offer Scotland
support in football (as well as the mountains of cash we Londoners
send north of the border every year). It really is a pity that this
isn't reciprocated - we've never done anything unpleasant to Scotland
that merited such poisonous racism as we receive.

???

Are you kidding???

Historical:
Invasion and removal of Sovereignty

Their James VI came down here to become our James I. They have invaded
us repeatedly throughout history. Luckily we won every time. Hardly a
matter of fault.

Imposition of rule by foreigners (Germans)

Bonnie Prince Charlie was an Italian poof. He only liked Scotland
because he could get away with wearing a dress there. (OK, I know the
kilt is a load of pseudo-cultural ******** invented by Walter Scott).

Highland Clearances

Not an English Affair - an attempt at making life better for the
Highlanders by the Countess of Sutherland. Sadly all went wrong.

Taxation without representation

They are better represented than we are - witness the West Lothian
question.

Recent:
Taxation without representation

See above

Poll Tax before anyone else and at higher rates

The only fair tax we ever had

Toxic waste dumping

The beach at Windscale suggests we share the problem. Of course the
power from Doonreay was used locally, and most of the scientists at
work in nuclear physics were Scots.

Germ warfare experiments (Anthrax Island...??)

That would be Gruinard. No excuse for that.

Nuclear subs/power stations siting

To their benefit. Even now it is becoming apparent to the gov. that
nuclear power is the cleanest way to go.

Pinching their granite

I think perhaps they got paid. And of course it is the most
radioactive native rock there is, so they were well rid of it.

Taking the **** with Oil Revenue promises

Local Hero is still one of my favourite films.

Ripping up the heather and putting it in car radiator grilles

But they are so shiny!

And that's just for starters!!

Actually, it's not - it's all Swim (a Dundoonian) could come up with at
short notice!! :-)

Well, we need a better list than that!
