Default Marantz TT-130 cueing not working

Hi,
Having just bought some Marantz separates including a TT-130 turntable I
note from the manual that the cueing switch should allow the arm/stylus to
drop gently onto the record. At present the cueing is a straight (stylus
busting) drop - would this be lack of oil to dampen the thing or what ?
I'd
be very grateful as although stylii for these decks are not that expensive
I
can't afford to have them go too often
Thanks
Tony

**As APR has stated, the oil has leaked from the cueing mech. It is not
rocket science, but it can be a PITA to work on and obtain the correct oil.
It is VERY important to use the correct oil. It is not grease. The stuff is
a silicon oil with a very high viscosity. I have plenty here, as do most
techs who work on turntables. I suggest you find one locally, because you
usually need to buy around 100ml of the stuff. 100ml would last a
professional about 100 years.
