Hi hope someone can help?
I have an old kenwood head unit which i'm trying to wire to the mains
via a transformer.
The head unit is obviously 12v (well 14.4v) and 10A and the transformer
i have at the moment is a 230/240v to 12v with a max load of 75VA on
each of the two windings.
A transformer alone will only give you a lower voltage AC output,
which isn't of any use, as you need a 12v DC input to the head unit.
You'll also need a rectifier in order to convert the AC transformer
output to DC to connect to the head unit.
