Chord DAC64

Dear Redwick
I am not sure of the differences between the MK1 , the MK2 and the MK3.
However the earlier DAC64 where fitted with only 1 BNC input and had no
on/off switch. The latest spec is the MK3 and has two BNC connector to
allow the interface to DVD-A transports and an on/off switch. Chord
however
have launched their new transport (£4150) and it is for CD only and cannot
be upgraded to DVD and DVD-A in the future. For those with earlier DAC 64
there is no upgrade path to the MK3 with the two BNC and on/off switch.
Info extracted from the Chord people at the London Hi-Fi show.
Regards Richard

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a Mk2 and a Mk3
version
of
this DAC ?
I understand Mk3 is the current.
Thanks Richard
Just had this from Chord
"We have no version numbers for the DAC64 as such, it has really just been
a continuous development of the product. The latest version I suppose would
be called
version 3 although version 1 only existed as 10 prototypes that were never
sold. The way
to check whether it is the latest version is to see if it is fitted with the
dual BNC inputs,
these will have the latest hardware and software fitted."
I'm looking for a second hand unit and just wanted to be able to tell the
difference between old and new.
