It's a long and final shot, but for some strange reason I used to really
like my 505.2's, which were in my office. I have had them for probably 8-10
years, and they have always served me well. I bought them from the UK to the
US when I moved here, and they were working great until an unfortunate
experience involving a microphone on a VOIP headset and an amp turned up too
much that caused a ear splitting amount of feedback and the destruction of
the coils in the tweeters on both sides. (I have taken the tweeter apart to
see if there was any way to fix, but the coil wire is so small it would seem
to be impossible).

Anyway, before I go out and replace the whole speaker with some piece of
crap US/Chinese made speakers acquired here in the US, does anybody have any
ideas where I could find some replacement tweeters? I have tried Wharfedale,
no joy, and a distributor in the US, again no joy. From recollection they
are titanium 4" tweeters, not sure of impedance.
