What was interesting was the young lad on the TV prog said what he like
about the singles was the physical aspect of having something to see and
hold! (As opposed to the 'virtual music' of the iPods!) PG also said
summat like playing a record involved the visual sense and watching the
record play was an important part of the experience!!
So nothing to do with the quality of the sound then?
Not particularly, it would seem. The news report was very brief but the
point the lad was making was that it's better to have something *physical*
to play than mere files on the iPod things. FWIW, I concur..
But what are you saying - vinyl singles, the 'wireless' and, say, 256K MP3s
don't sound good? (Especially to someone who's not hung up on ''accuracy'
&c.....?)
What do you listen to:
Out jogging?
At work?
In the bathroom?
In the kitchen?
In the toilet?
In the car?
On a train/bus/plane?
In the shed/garage/workshop?
In the garden?*
On holiday?
(Did I miss anything...?? :-)
* shudder....
