Back in 1992, I briefly became the Oktava distributor for the UK. The mics
were pretty good, excellent if you factor in the price. However, quality
control was a bit variable, and we had to return a fair few. However,
those that worked all worked pretty well. At the time, the finish was a
bit agricultural, but operationally they were OK.
OK, it all turned up today as promised - here's a short clip of me ****ing

.....and levels set slightly too high (wot else? :-) but I think it sounds
promising? (Read: I've no idea really, but I'm delighted with the sound and
am looking forward to the proper recording sessions!! ;-)
