Attaching large files to emails will get prevented somewhere along the
line.

You are receiving advice to ftp files to an intermediate computer
running an ftp server which seems odd and I am assuming it is coming
from Windows users?

The simplest approach is to use ftp to transfer files directly from one
computer to the other. This requires one of the computers run an ftp
server. On a Mac or Linux this is simple to turn on with a click or two
but from the advice being given I am assuming that home version of
Windows do not have an ftp server to turn on. Is this correct?

Alternatives are to follow the advice about finding a 3rd computer
running an ftp server or to export the directory containing the mp3
files using the MS equivalent of NFS (MS name?) and to copy the files
using the browser. I do not know how easy/difficult the latter is to
perform but given nobody has suggested it there may be problems?
