I'm trying to capture streaming audio from Radio 7. I
have a Toshiba Qosmio with sound card. it has Windows XP
MCE. I'm using Audacity but the only input options are
Line In / Mixed / Mic. Unfortunately when I try and
record the audio stream this is played through the
built-in speakers, and the sound is then picked up by the
in-built mic. Whe played back the recording has
extraneous noises and echoes on it - from the mic. What I
need is for Audacity to take the input direct from the
sound card. But I can't work out how to do this. Please

How about an acoustical solution - cover the mic with a wad of modeling clay
or some such?
