Not in an Octavia, but done it in other cars.
Get a wiring harness adaptor (you only need the speaker plug and socket,
the power can pass straight through). Cut the rear speaker wires between
plug and socket and attach to some decent quality speaker cable long
enough to route to the back of the car, then re-attach. Leave the front
speaker wires attached between the plug and socket on the wiring harness.
Done this in a friend's Corsa, he didn't have rear speakers but
installed some 6x9"s on a stealth shelf. We upgraded it again after so
the front speakers were running from an offboard amp (which also powered
a 10" sub in the boot).
