I've tried calling BBC Reception Advice, but they say they don't
know of any transmitter problems.
So because they do not know they are going to do nothing, even
though they know now from you!
Is that the case?

Oh yeah, now I remember, they also said it might be due to 'low air
pressure', when I phoned before it was normal at approx. 1000
millibars, but still a weak signal, over the weekend it did get down
to 980 mb. I thought DAB was immune to propagation variations due to
the use of 'Single Frequency Networks', and anyway it's *high*
pressure that causes problems due to refraction?
Lift conditions can make signals travel farther than they would otherwise
travel, which causes problems with DAB reception due to signals arriving
"too late" (technically: arriving with a delay relative to the first strong
signal path that is longer than the guard interval, which causes
interference).
