If they are the Missions, they will take nicely to a small added sub.
I tried a little Canton sub with the M3 my wife has and it made a
significant improvement in balance, especially at low levels.

I've wondered about adding a subwoofer, but worried (out of ignorance! Not
used subwoofers before) about too much woolly bass upsetting neighbors! I
had a quick look around and it seems £100 is about where prices start - what
sort of price would need to be spent? Actually - I'll google your Canton
right now...
