I have an ancient pair of humongous floor standing Sansui sp 7300 speakers
which my father envies. He says that the quality compared to his speakers at
home is brilliant. He wants a replacement pair of proper speakers , listens
to classical and bras music, is a REAL musician (not like me) and so has a
good ear for sound.

What could I get him for his birthday that are in the £150 price range?
Would a trip to RicherSounds be useful?
Is it best to buy new on the basis that technology is always improving the
sound/product?

Any polite thoughts welcome peeps.
