Marketing is intended to sell stuff, yes. Not advance mankind's scientific
knowledge, absolutely. No danger of that, no sir.

But when someone makes stupid marketing claims, and someone scientifically
debunks said claims to save a few unsuspecting souls from wasting their
money, the gloves certainly come off, don't they?

I don't for example see ppl running to the defence of the marketers of 'gas
pills' to extend your mileage or turn water into fuel for example.

Why some defence should be extended to the purveyors of exotic capacitors and
cables for example puzzles me.
