I checked the manual and it says that when setting "small" is chosen then
all freq's below 100Hz will be passed to the sub. So I can assume the
crossover freq of the amp is 100Hz ? So then it would be best to set the
crossover freq of the sub at 100Hz, correct ? Thanks again,

Your sub doesn't need a crossover if the AV amp is providing that
function.
Set the sub's crossover to off or its highest available frequency.

Hmm now I'm completely lost I have now set front and center to large, and
surround to small setting. With LFE setting to L/R + LFE, and crossover on
sub at 80Hz. This way, from the HK manual, the front- and centerspeakers
will get the complete signal, plus the LFE all below 80Hz. The surrounds
aren't complete speakers so I set them to small setting. However, on several
internet websites there's talk about this way the front and center not
getting the mids and highs they should be getting. It basically says, set
all speakers to small setting. But I'm afraid that way the front and center,
which are a very nice set of full-range speakers, won't operate to their
fullest capacity. Does this sound credible to you ?

Cheers,

David.
