1. Anyone on here has used them and noticed any change in sound
quality.

Don't be silly. I m amazed trading standards haven't investigated such
claims. An external mains lead is nothing to do with the design of amp
stages or speakers.

2. Are their any other alternatives without having to spend and arm and
a leg.

Loads, from £1-99 to £14-99 with surge protector.

I am a bit concerned before buying as unfortunately we do not have any
outlets for Kimbers in Australia and the thing costs around AUD $400.

You are the equivalent to "boy racers". Look at the overpriced junk they
buy. They are a victim of advertising the same way people in this group
are. Tell them anything and they believe it.
I have some magic mains cable for sale that will silence the door bell when
certain music is played, £900 half price!
It's shame you allow yourself to be conned.
