Apparently this is the name of the socket for the AM aerial according
to Philips for their MC118 music centre. For some unknown reason
anything to do with radio including handsfree phone, cellphone and even
DAB radio fails when used downstairs in our house but upstairs is very

My DAB radio is running OK plugged into unused TV aerial so just
wondered if I could resurrect the radio side of the MC118 with some
means of converting this JST2pM socket.

If it does not work downstairs, then why not place the frame antenna
upstairs and extend the connecting lead.

Some light gauge twin flex ought to be fine.
