And doesn't "Tympanic" just mean "drumlike"? I can't see why a membrane
covered cavity within the boxes would help... or are they referring to the
speaker cones themselves as the membrane? I agree with the tweeter nulls
though. It's the same way ultrasonic alarms work with interference patterns
causing peaks and nulls in a room....
