Last time I looked, the speakers and mics involved were non-trivial.

Now check out the Kenwood UD-505. One-box mini system.

And, what sort of mic is likely to be used to pick it up?

A DPA measurement mic @ $1800?

Even a nice cheap mic from Rode or even MXL?

I don't think so... ;-)
