The Quad room at the show was large and imho was not one of the best
sounding. I thought the sound was noticeably flat and uninvolving

the expensive cable people claim to help.



Presuming the source to be 'digital', it sounds like the Quad gear was
doing
a pretty good job of 'uncoloured reproduction' then......
