I recently bought a second hand 5.1 speaker system for my pc at a really
cheap price, the only down side is that the 3 cables that have 3.5 mm

jacks
on are cut in half so I can't connect them to my pc sound card. How easy
would it be to connect wire to the end and then fit a 3.5mm jack on? I

have
seen something which is like a little box with a screw in the middle for
connecting two pieces of speaker cable, could I use that and then get a
speaker connectiong kit for the end of the cable?

Cables cut? Couldn't they even be bothered to go round the back and
unplug them when they were burgling the house? :-)

Geez It was really dark at the time and I really didn't want all that
trailing cable snagging on the broken window glass ;-)
Seriously, do you know anyone who can solder? A really neat slim job can be
done using soldered joints and heatshrink tube.
