The Marantz MM4400 seems to be a possibility at £99 (Richer Sounds).
Any comments on that?


Don't know it myself, but I would expect it to be perfectly OK. Having
tried a number of different small, budget SS amps myself, I have found
none better than the Denon PMA-655R which I currently use as an 'all day
long' integrated and the (very quiet) pre section as a pre to my valve
power amps. (The phono stage is also very good, although you said you
don't need one.)
