Had a listen on D-SAT for the first time and reasonable.. just a pity
that Auntie BBC couldn't give us a few more bits and she'd have an

Watched/listened/recorded via DTTV BBC2TV. Thoroughly enjoyed the Walton
and Beethoven. May have to try again to see if I can come to terms with the
interpretation of the Elgar. As discussed in the interval, I am one of
those 'too acclimatised' to the du Pre/Barbirolli versions, etc, to find
this one easy to warm to. But a very enjoyable concert broadcast. Looking
forwards to the other concerts on DTTV BBC4. :-)
Now last night I managed to be able to switch betwixt FM and D-SAT and
quite frankly I think I was listening to the difference between the
processors. The FM was fuller and the D-SAT was more thin for want of a
better way of putting that .. still the music wasn't that taxing;!..
Now what was really interesting was a few weeks ago there was a
performance of Götterdämmerung on the TV. BBC 2 I think, what I do
remember was that the sound was such that I didn't notice anything about
it at all, other than the music .. which is as it ought be
