Neither have I, I thought it was something new that I had not
yet discovered. I think they form part of a seven speaker system along
with two main speakers, two surround speakers and a sub-woofer. All
relatively new to me but that is not unusual!!

It's a gimmick (although some people like it) because there's nothing
recorded for it. Surround speakers are another story but it would be
useful to know what receiver (probably a Yamaha), what main speakers
and what sub you have.

BTW, a good center channel is infinitely more useful than "presence"
speakers.
