My 30yr+ velvet brush looks like it's placing more dust on the vinyl
than removing...

For day-to-day use I tended to use 2 - or some variation like a parastat.
However the 'Dust Bug' remains the standard item for me when I need to keep
dust off the LP. I still have a variety of the old 'Watts' items. I tend to
find the Dust Bug works best if you remove the end-brush and just use the
cylindrical plush pad.

FWIW I noticed that the CPC catalogue lists some cleaning items for vinyl
LP 'for DJs'. Might be worth your while trying these.

Have you tried cleaning your existing brush, though? I find that the LP
cleaning kit I bought decades ago still works OK - or at least, as well as
when new. :-)

Slainte,

Jim
