when i did this a while ago I had to change to a Sony head unit to go with
the sony specific connect2. If your replacement head unit is not a Sony it
may well not work.

I had a cable to connect to the MP3 player - in my case an NWHD5. This I
fed out to the glove box so I could get easy access to the mp3 player.



Thats interesting ... I spoke to a guy who installs in car entertainment
systems and he said sometimes they can hook it up to the cd changer output
but a lot of the time cross pollination is not possible.

He did suggest buying a sony headunit that supports the connects2 but a bit
late as I've bought this one in the post above this.

Not oging to be able to find out for sure till I give the install a go at
the weekend.
