I've seen a couple of reviews when i was looking for a new amp that
mentioned hiss. This lad's review gives you a rundown of what to
expect, mentioning the headphone socket (full size) and has some
positives aswell as negatives.

I've had one for over a year now, and I think it's the bees knees.

I haven't noticed any hiss in normal use, but that might depend on what you
listen to with it and the characteristics of the speakers.

One slight niggle is that if you switch the power off immediately after
adjusting the volume, the last volume change isn't remembered - so it could
blare out at you in the morning.
