Hi guys,

My old two channel pre-amp has gone coo-coo. Time to go shopping.

I am looking at Rotel as I am very happy with my existing CD player.
Should I go for a integrated amp or should I go for a pre amp
connected to a power amp?

Please advice.

Cheers

Max

The Rotel Rc-06 pre amp is excellent and unless you spend more than
double you will not get better. You do not say what your power amp is
but assuming its half decent that would be better than spending the
same amount on an intergrated amp.

Hi guys,

I did a bit of more research on the Rotel amps and found out none of
the Rotels (I looked at) have headphone outs which is something I use
too often.

I have now started looking at some integrated amps by Marantz -

1. PM7001 KI
2. PM-15S1

They both support headphones though I am hedging on PM-15S1 for its MM/
MC inputs.

What are you ideas on a Marantz?

Cheers
