Interesting comment. In my experience the difference between CD and LP
is obvious even on the most lowly of kit.
My suspicion is that many/most people who don't 'get it' with vinyl is
because they've never heard it on anything like a halfway decent
setup....

It is certainly the case that the difference between a cheap and an
expensive record player is far more significant than that between a cheap
and an expensive CD player. But even the very best record player cannot
sound better than the master tape, and since a competently mastered CD
sounds essentially identical to the master tape.....
David, all that mastertape horse**** was dealt and dispensed with in here
years ago - here's a hint: If you don't *know*, don't guess....
