Interesting comment. In my experience the difference between CD and LP is
obvious even on the most lowly of kit.



My suspicion is that many/most people who don't 'get it' with vinyl is
because they've never heard it on anything like a halfway decent setup....


Another interesting comment, as it appears to directly contradict your
earlier one :-)

It is certainly the case that the difference between a cheap and an
expensive record player is far more significant than that between a cheap
and an expensive CD player. But even the very best record player cannot
sound better than the master tape, and since a competently mastered CD
sounds essentially identical to the master tape.....


Modern recordings don't even have master tapes of course.
