Nostalgia attack!

As I switched off my 2A3 SET which had been sounding better than ever (due
to a valve swap in my phono stage) just now I could hear a feint muttering
in a foreign language! The warm *nostalgic* feeling and familiarity (Radio
Luxembourg?) was most pleasant, but it was dick-all to to with my valves -
it was coming from the little Pioneer SS amp which was/is hooked up to a
pair of B&W speakers with no sources on, but left on and switched to the
Phono input!
The language was impossible to nail - Eastern European yet almost
Italian-sounding?? Is Radio Albania still about and still pushing it out
large?
Could if have been Czech or Hungarian?
There are many good E.European stations, especially if you
are interested in classical music. The Czech station Radio Prague,
and also transmissions from Radio Budapest, Hungary , Kiev in the
Ukraine are well worth listening to.
They beat "East Enders" any day:-)
