For ages, I've had one speaker louder than the other. At first I
thought it was my turntable, but the problem persisted with other
sources. Swapping speakers made no difference, so I thought the amp
was faulty (Arcam AVR350). But what I didn't realise, is that the
speaker settings (for the 5.1 surround option) also affects stereo,
even when the amp is set to 'direct'. A quick adjustment there fixed
my problem :-). So obviously the 'direct' function isn't really that
direct.
