Default Sound card with bit-perfect SPDIF output

I just bought a MAudio Audiophile 192, and am quite impressed. For
£85, it has balanced analogue I/O and S-PDIF digital I/O. As to it
being bit-perfect, I don't know of any card that isn't, but then I've
never messed about with the cheapest sort.

Did a bit more digging... it seems the Creative MP3+ that I'm currently
using will in fact do bit-perfect output over SPDIF. The problem appears
to be software related in that 'doze forces everything through kmixer.

After messing about trying to get working ASIO drivers for the MP3+ I
installed the Kernel Streaming plug-in for Winamp that appears to have
done the trick. The sound is slightly clearer anyway (MP3+ feeding Arcam
Black Box 50 DAC).
