I agree totally , I've used it for many years, under win98, win 2000 and
now winXP, and it's always worked perfectly, which is more than can be
said for most software I've used!

When I upgraded to Vista I had problems with Cool Edit 2000.

Sounds like yet another reason NOT to use Vista! Microsoft will have to
drag me kicking and screaming before I'll touch it.

I WAS dragged kicking and screaming into Vista because I wanted to use
Windows Media Center with a Media Center Extender - and WMC is only
available in Vista.

My computer is configured with dual boot XP/Vista and for several months I
primarily used XP - and only used Vista when necessary. Now I must confess I
have got used to Vista and use it all the time, only reverting to XP when
really necessary (increasingly rare!). I have disabled annoyances like UAC
(User Access Control) and the infantile arty-farty desktop graphics and now
find that, after all the Vista updates and SP1, all my applications work
fine. Even Cool Edit 2000 is acceptable if allowances are made for small
display inaccuracies.

I now find that Vista is more stable than XP (I have never seen a blue
screen!), more secure, and in some ways easier to use than XP.

I've only the once seen the BSOD under WIN 200 Pro and that was due to a
Maxtor hard drive failure.

The wife uses a laptop with Vista If I had to use that poxy program for
more then Ten minutes I'd chuck it out the window!..

If you have the time and patience give Vista a try. You might end up
preferring it!

Don't work for 'em perchance;?..
