For many it won't matter much - after all how often do you see speakers
and listening position in the correct triangle? Most simply put speakers
where they are convenient - or out of the way.

Some folks, left & right speaker either right next to each other, or one
stacked above the other :-(

And then there is the surround sound speaker kit install. All four or
five speakers in a neat line placed under the TV.

Wires and women don't mix :-)
