I know this wasn't a response to my post, but...

My Wharfedale 12 inch bass driver surrounds failed after some 30 years of
service. They were neoprene, not foam. The dimensions of my Wharfedale
surrounds did not fit any of the standard 12 inch driver surrounds that I
could locate on the web. Also, I tried several repair companies but none of
them would commit to a repair.

That was my excuse for getting my IPL speakers :-)

But my Wharfedales are in storage, just in case...
