Default Dynaudio speakers back from the menders . . .

Well, mightily impressive - photos pretty good too - are they taken with
one of your film lenses?

Yes, that would be the 28/2.8 Nikkor - which equates to a 42mm with my 'crop
factor'.

All the pix I have posted since I've been back here are manual focus/manual
exposure, ie *auto nothing* (which is photography's equivalent of playing
vinyl, I guess! :-) - usually with a light whiff of 'Unsharp Mask' and
maybe cropped, otherwise without PP.

The/a thing for me would be yet another format change. It was only 5 years
since I chucked all my videos, and I'm quite comfortable with DVD rips to
hard disk. I've got it so that less than 1GB/DVD gives me decent quality
by my standards.

Forget Bluray then - a typical *movie only* is usually over 20 Gig and the
whole disks (including all the extras) are often to the limit of the 50 Gb
disk - about 48 Gb or so!

Of course, this will be a problem if (well, when) I upgrade the TV. But
then I'm quite happy listening to cassettes :-)
