Default BBC iPlayer problems?

I've now had a response from a contact involved in providing the iPlayer.
This is to the effect that the problems seem to be a bottleneck with some
specific ISPs collecting streams from the BBC servers, not the servers
themselves. So I am following this up with my ISP and asking them to check
the situation with their upstream suppliers, etc.
