Actually the sad thing is that Phil does have sensible things to say from
time to time, it's just such a shame that all anyone ever notices is his
abusive language.

Let's face it guys, hi-fi as a hobby is dead, we're just chewing over
old bones here.


Hi-Fi *as a hobby* is certainly a lot less popular than it was in the 1970s,
but domestic audio is alive and well. Almost every house in the land has an
audio system of some form or other, usually more than one. These range from
the ubiquitous iPod to the outrageously overpriced "exotic" Hi-Fi systems of
the audiphools. And there has been considerable growth in the number of
audio systems in commercial use as well. So any idea that "audio" is dead is
totally and completely wrong.
