I'm using an Amphenol AP connector because it's rated 660v.


** Fraid the maker says the connector is only *safe* for 50 volts.

It says:

"Not suitable for domestic applications above 50V".

This is because it is possible to touch the female contacts with a bit of
wire or something,


** ABSOLUTE ****ing ******** !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone can poke a bare wire into a mains outlet and get fried.


If there is no possibility of the uncoupled connector being accessed when
powered is applied, then this restriction does not apply.


** ****ING BULL**** !!!

The 50 volt restriction is because the connector IS UNSAFE for use with
higher voltages.
