Indeed. I don't see how any one poster can "destroy" a newsgroup.

Oh but it's said about this group too. Plenty of girl's blouses read it,
it seems, but are scared to post in case someone disagrees with them. So
prefer a cosy email 'knitting group'. Even although those who've stated
that here are among the most foul mouthed and or objectionable.

Most of the time I ignore him, when he gets too irritating I just
kill-file him. Once you get used to his abusive language he's more
amusing than anything else. It is a shame because he does know his stuff
and can make sensible contributions to threads. Unfortunately it all
then rapidly descends into his being abusive to everyone else who posts
to those threads (as though having contributed to a thread himself, it
has somehow or other become his exclusive property).

I do wonder why he wastes his time posting the same insults time and time
again. Perhaps he has a macro for them. ;-)

These sort of audio groups seem full of weirdos. One or two on here
too. ;-)


Except that Phil isn't that sort of weirdo. He's not spending a fortune
on audio kit that is stuck in the technology of 70 years ago.

I'd say there simply isn't enough to discuss. And go to the more obscure
parts of audio gets the 'music is all that matters' types foaming at the
mouth. There's only so much can be said about vinyl and what you use to
play it.
