Why a "decent" pre-amp???

If you were using your turntable with a top end Hi-Fi system then
understandable but you say you're using it with a micro system so the
quality of the pre-amp won't matter as the quality of reproduction will
ultimately be governed by the capabilities of your micro system.

I have a Hi-Fi which recently cost me in excess of £5k and I bought the
cheapest turntable pre-amp I could get. It was £20 at a local Hi-Fi shop!

Why? because the best pre-amp in the world will not improve the quality of
my small and aged vinyl collection and I only play vinyl's about twice a
year!

My advice... buy a simple £20 pre-amp from the likes of Richer Sounds or a
local Hi-Fi shop.

I need a decent phono preamplifier so I can use my turntable with my

micro
hi-fi system.
So, it's standard phono in and an output suitable for aux input on the

micro
hi-fi ystem that's required.

I've seen these in the past but can't find them anymore.
Either mains or battery operated will be ok.

Anyone?
