There is no such thing as flat, bypassing all the circuitry. There is always
some capacitance etc, in any circuit.

Interesting, the 64 dollar question is does the 'flat' setting on the VVV
knob actually bypass the processing circuitry completely...I'm a pure path
fan myself. I realise the other settings could be useful but then I know
sod all about mics and recording.
